So I went down to the curb and asked the guy if he would mind making me a jumper when he was done doing what he was doing. As a former cable guy (for the same company) I know that it takes 90 seconds or less to make a jumper. I’ve never met a cable guy who wasn’t happy to do such a simple thing for a customer, so I was pretty sure he would do this for me.

I was wrong.

This guy told me that he was only there working on the main line, and he didn’t have any of the “house kind of cable”. As he told me this I glanced over and could see a spool of RG-6 (the house kind of cable) on the back of his truck. The guy was looking me in the eye and telling me that he didn’t have the cable that was less than six feet away from him.

Wow. Truly shitty customer service, Cox Communications. Your man was not only extraordinarily lazy, he was a bold faced liar on top of it.

No, I didn’t argue with him or tell him that his lie was obvious. The fact that he lied to my face made me not want to have any further interaction with him. I just wanted this douche to be done with his work and get away from my house. I just have no use for a man who will lie right to your face.

Going to explore my satellite television options in the morning too.
